Our Projects

At St Andrews Voluntary Service (SVS), we are dedicated to making a positive impact through our diverse range of initiatives. With our five key project categories, we aim to address community needs, foster meaningful connections, and inspire lasting change. Each project is designed to empower volunteers, engage with local challenges, and contribute to the well-being of our community.

History

SVS began as a branch of the Christian Union that distributed volunteers to the local community to assist with tasks like gardening and shopping.

In 1987, SVS separated from the Christian Union to become a recognized charity in Scotland and started to expand into other project areas. More recently, in 2006, SVS became a subcommittee of the St Andrews Students' Association.
